The description of this book promised an amazing epic fantasy, but it was just ok in the end.
I liked that there were multiple POVs, but even those were chaotic and irregular. Some characters were present almost all the time while others popped here and there. At some point one of them reappeared after more than 100 pages or so and I forgot her and had to remind myself who she is 😂 I would have liked more consistency.
A plus is the magic and the way that some of the characters had the power to invoke their ancestors who helped them in battles. Pretty cool!
What I didn't like was the repetition and the length of the book. It had many moments in which I had to focus to remain interested in the story.
Overall I can say that I liked it, but not enough to continue the series.
