Morrigan's Cross by Nora Roberts

4.0

I'm not really sure what rating I'm giving this book.
If you're expecting a lot of heavy fantasy in the first book of this trilogy, forget it.
There are rituals and sometimes the famous Lilith vampires appear.
This is all because this book is literally an introduction to the story that will unfold in the next two and it makes sense. It doesn't spoil the essence of the book because it's a necessary introduction how would an inner circle form overnight?
And the bad thing about this book is that I'm not a big fan of our main character Hoyt. There are certain comments that I find unbearable but of course you have to take a break because he comes from the 12th century. And it's got plenty of girl power to make up for it clearly. And we have his twin brother Cian, he does have some essence.
I will probably read the sequel one day who knows when?
