The House of My Mother
by Shari Franke
dark
emotional
hopeful
inspiring
reflective
sad
tense
fast-paced
Absolutely heartbreaking.
I listened to the audiobook version of this book and loved that it was narrated by Shari. You could hear the emotion in her voice and this made the reading experience even better and engaging.
It’s hard to believe the amount of trauma and abuse these children faced, but one thing that shines through is their resilience and strength.
A sad, but needed memoir.
