Everything For You by Chloe Liese

Enemies to lovers in this cute soccer romance inspired by Ted Lasso! Oliver Bergman is a rising soccer star, he's always a ball of sunshine and smiles and is the heart of the team's spirit. The only problem is that he just can't seem to get his idol and captain of his team, Gavin, to actually like him. Oliver is still reeling from a disastrous past relationship and has made it a rule to never get into a relationship with another person on his team. Yet he can't seem to fight his attraction to his misanthropic and grumpy captain. When Oliver is made co-captain with Gavin, things only ramp up ( it doesn't help that they are neighbors). Gavin was Oliver's first big crush and awakening into being queer, yet the reality of Gavin has been a bit of a let down. Ten years his senior, Gavin Hayes is a legendary soccer player and a demanding captain. He's misanthropic, grumpy, and a loner. The moment he met Oliver, Gavin knew they couldn't be friends because when he's not annoying him, Oliver is tempting him. When they are made co-captains, the hostility between them rises, and sick with it, their Coach gives them an ultimatum: they have to end their enmity or say goodbye to being captain. Oliver and Gavin begin to get to know each other better and realize that the chemistry between them is definitely there and that they both feel it. Can these two make it work or are they just too different? Reading in the author note that Oliver was a character inspired by Ted Lasso's spirit and that Gavin was inspired by Roy Kent, it definitely can be seen that way. Overall it was a really cute soccer romance and I had fun with it!
