morally gray protagonist but she does the right thing in the end. her actions are selfish but i liked her personality.
her father is portrayed as the most probable villain and while readers learn more and more of his flaws and dark side, i think he still loved his family and also followed his daughter in doing the right thing. it was sort of tragic in that if he had done this sooner, he would have saved a lot more people (his friend and wife). the reconciliation between father and daughter was sad.
i liked that the main character’s played an important role in her choices. the friendships were well-written. the friendship she had with her cousin was also so good, in a way i don’t see familial ties written anymore.
