Paperweight by Meg Haston

I want to preface this by saying it heavily discusses eating disorders;
This book was an incredibly raw, unflinching look at a girl with an eating disorder – it was very difficult to read at times, in terms of the sheer brutality, the clinical detachment of our narrator.
There are no euphemistic niceties here, and I would say that people who have experienced an ED should consider this a TRIGGER warning.
Yet It was such a raw and captivating story and I felt it handled the topic well. I really felt for the characters. The story was sad and disheartening (an intrinsic quality when it comes to mental illness) but I just felt Haston did a really amazing job with it.
