Summer People by Elin Hilderbrand
2.0
I have really enjoyed every other book by Elin Hilderbrand that I’ve read but this one fell a little flat for me. Not a terrible read by any means but I think she bit off a little more than she could chew. There were heavy tones of class inequality and race which is definitely important, aside from a run of the mill coming of age and a dash of white savior complex there was very little to address the conflict in this book.
