So this was just…bad? Like who let this be a book? The first half was completely boring, just two teenage best friends on a camping trip. Except they don’t know what they’re doing and they’re SO mean to each other. Then the scary shit starts to happen and it simply makes no sense, there’s no good motive, and it’s just too whacky. The first half I was bored to tears and the second half I just wanted it to be over. Imagine a slasher movie except it doesn’t even pretend to have real motive (already that’s tenuous in the genre but here it was nonexistent).
