The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
5.0
One of the best books I’ve ever read.
It shows you the bond of women and what they went through During WWII, France. Starting with sisters Vianne and Isabell being left behind by their Father who was left broken after the first World War. The strength and determination of both of these sitters shine through in different aspects of what they both accomplished and endured.
Kristin Hannah has not disappointed me once. Her writing reaches into me in such a way and leaves me heartbroken, but content and always wanting more. I can not put into words how much I enjoy the experience of reading her stories and wishing I could read them for the first time again. Truly and astoundingly remarkable.
