A short trip through the mind of the narrator disguised as a trip to Japan. This book deftly weaves through the inner thoughts of the narrator and their perceptions of the present. It doesn't hold your hand and instead presents the events to the reader and asks the reader to draw their own conclusions. I really like books that put the burden of interpretation squarely on the reader. It's short, but very efficient and dense in a very readable way.
