The Mystery of the Blue Train by Agatha Christie
3.0

This isn't my favorite book in this series. I think in large part as I felt like I didn't get as much Hercule Poirot as I expected. He seemed like such a small side character in this story. On the flip side I did like Katherine. She was a good support for Poirot and I appreciated that she was very smart. Where as Hastings is always at a loss for the things Poirot is concluding, Katherine seemed to be very much on the same page. She was coming to a lot of the same conclusions that Poirot was.

The mystery here wasn't too complicated, but it was a lot of elements converging on one train with things not always being exactly what they seemed. There were a lot of different people's stories coalescing in this one. We jumped around a lot to all the different storylines while Poirot tried to figure out exactly what had happened on that train to the Riviera.

I am enjoying this classic series and I can't wait for more Poirot.
