We finished out the series with our favorite magical youth. It was a satisfying ending and a surprising one. The kids enjoyed it just as much as the others. It was interesting that we ended up reading it at the same time as my son & I were buddy-reading Flora & Ulysses since both main characters have similar mother characters with similar issues. We had fun noticing the similarities there.

Personally I've had a harder time with the Ridley character, which stands to reason because she's abrasive. NPH really grew her character over the course of this book and built-up her back story. The only piece I feel like we missed was a lack of resolution with the father whom she loves but was missing for the whole book.

It felt like a really well-rounded, full-circle series. I'm not left feeling like anything is unresolved or we need more of the characters. BUT...I do hope that NPH has another book (or book series) up his sleeve because these were good!
