The writing in this book is phenomenal. I wouldn't have been able to put it down, except that I had to in order to reflect on what I was feeling. This is perhaps the darkest story I've read, and I've read a lot of post-apocalyptic novels. It's not due to the plot but because of the way the emotion is conveyed through words.
Graphic: Grief, Violence, and Death of parent
Moderate: Grief, Cannibalism, Death, Gore, Death of parent, Suicidal thoughts, and Violence
