so of course iksw was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and OF COURSE it lived up to the hype!! i honestly don’t think it’s possible for me not to like anything they write at this point. i loved all the characters so so much, and i actually found myself liking the relationships between the side characters just as much (and often more) than chloe and shara’s relationship. i’ve seen very few books that handle religious trauma in any way that doesn’t immediately make me dnf it, but it didn’t work like that here and you could see how the characters all come to terms with it differently and how it doesn’t cancel out the sense of home and family that they’ve been able to make for themselves. i just really can’t say enough good things about it
