20% into book 2 and I wish I could have read it without reading book 1. There is actual plot outside of Nic straight traumatizing Cel in book 2.
Anyway this book was hard af for me to read. He was degrading af to her and treated her like actual shit. Constantly doing things and sayings things one day and then pretending she’s nothing the next. Don’t get me wrong I love bully romances and dark romances but this one was just hard to read because any time she did something he didn’t like he reminded her he was going to sell her. That’s just something that’s too real and a terrifying thing to me so I struggled with getting through it.
