A Room with a View
by E.M. Forster
A light, funny, sunshine filled story of a group of middle class English men and women holidaying in Italy. The characters will definitely remind you of someone you know, Forster has done well to capture different kinds of people: the stuffy older woman, the pompous middle aged man, the impressionable girl and the lonely and misunderstood gentleman (among others).
I enjoyed this book, it’s hopeless romance and the fun it pokes at Brits abroad (and in general). Although it’s a lighthearted read there are some unexpectedly deep/moving parts which work well in contrast.
