Rilla of Ingleside by L.M. Montgomery

5.0

This one might be my favourite after the first one. It's very different from the rest.
We follow Rilla (Marilla <3) as a teenager. She's the baby, she's vain and she's lonely because everyone around her is so much older. WW1 hits. Her siblings and friends go off to war. Her small town and her country are tense. Finances change, her family is sad and she has to grow up, either she wants it or not. She becomes involved in the community and takes care of a young child she comes upon.
This book had emotion, had community, paranoia, growing up, sweetness, love, and it showed what the women were doing at home during the war, where most young men and boys were sent into the trenches.
It was great, i loved it and i felt very done with the series before this one.
