The thief is one of the few books that I couldn't manage to finish, unfortunately. I've been stuck in the first half of it for a while now and I'm now deciding to just give up.
My main problem with it is Gen. He is always complaining and he is way too immature for his reputation. Honestly, the biggest part of the book was him whining about everything, being hungry, sleepy or angry. The rest of the story was uninteresting, at least up until the point that I've read. Maybe I'll pick it up again later on to see if it gets better.
