I knew this book would be slow as it is the last before the big finale, but the pace was even slower than I was expecting. The important bits that carry the story further are so few that they could be condensed into a novella instead of this full-length book. Kate is particularly annoying, while Curran and everyone else walks on eggshells around her. Roman saves the day!
