The Kurdles by Robert Goodin

4.0

Lots of great dialogue in a genuinely enjoyable story. At the end, though, it's not so clear why the story needed to happen. Only two of the characters get more than superficial characterization, but those two characters have some wonderful moments. In the end, it's a pleasant fable that reads like the first episode of a cartoon. Maybe a series would help it really find its legs!
