I've often harped on Katee Robert's vague worldbuildings and loose plots but this one was surprisingly solid. (Even more suprised that it's one of her older titles.) I just wished the romance had been more up my alley. The couple was into each other almost immediately and their connection grew just as quickly. All these interesting storylines but I could not care for our protagonists.
It also leaves the ending unsatisfying as I felt we needed at least one more chapter to make their HEA believeable. (It's clear from all the side POVs that the series is building on each other, so I don't mind a picture-perfect finish, I'd just needed more).
