The God of Endings by Jacqueline Holland

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
The God of Endings by Jacqueline Holland is a book that’s being compared to two of my favorite books of all time: Interview with the Vampire and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Unfortunately this didn’t hold my interest as well as those did. It started out strong and  quickly ran out of steam. It has beautiful writing but I recognized early on that it was going to be a slog to get through. Not to mention I guessed correctly a spoiler that happens later in the novel, according to some reviews I’ve since read. I can absolutely adore a slower paced book, but this one just wasn’t for me.

Anne Rice and V.E. Schwab vibes are hard to duplicate.
