I loved this so so much. The pacing, the characterisation, the plot. I thought the characters were very interesting and complex, and I enjoyed how the plot was woven back and forth to provide insight into the characters past and present lives. The story also is an insightful exploration of how (internalised) racism and colourism impact the lives of black people and their communities in a variety of ways.
