Why are book twos in romance trilogies always my favorite? This one was lovely, Maya was obviously my favorite of the girls, and her quiet, efficiently murderous romantic interest was so fascinating. I like the sci fi, post-apocalyptic mods that Maya received, and how interesting (and brutal!) her training was when she was younger. I LOVE that her man helps her find a new way to look at her abilities. The arc from feeling useless to feeling powerful is such a great one.
