Enter the Black Oak by Monique Edenwood

4.0

Enjoyed reading this...especially the thought processes...seems real!

Rating: 4.5

I have had this book on my tablet for a few months. I think I purchased it on sale because i liked the blurb but never started it. Now I have started this...wow!! This book is an interesting read.

Enter the Black Oak is intense, dark and the emotions felt while reading this will have you on edge of your seat. The couple - Jack and Jess started out so loving and happy. It felt like nothing could be spoil this jam since they were so devoted to each other, until pages into the story we realize that Jack is cheater!

Jess is obviously devastated that her husband has ruined their marriage. What follows makes this story all the more interesting....the emotions, her thought process, the way Jack behaves, her interactions with a former friend Cameron, her interactions with others in the story after this blow to her mental and social health. I loved how she wanted to try fighting for her marriage but the way Jack behaves, made me want to knock him out so many times.

Cameron...hmmmm...he is so very interesting!! He surprised me in more ways than one! I hope there is so much more to their developing relationship.

Enter the Black Oak is well written and I will be reading the rest of the series!

Reasons I enjoyed this book:

Entertaining, Page-turner, Realistic, Twisted, Wonderful characters, Steamy
