Text Me Baby One More Time by Teagan Hunter
5.0

h: Denver
H: Shepherd
(Dual POVs)

When they were teenagers, Shepherd and Denver’s best friends were a couple, which is how they got each other’s numbers. They text, end up liking each other and Denver moves across the country to start her college adventure with Shep. But as soon as she arrives, Shep gives her the cold shoulder. Fast forward a few years, and Shep is back in town and in need of a date to save face for a few charity galas. Denver is interested in getting a promotion at the paper she writes for so they strike up a deal.

Denver is the complete opposite of Monty and I loved it! I loved the way Denny and Shep bantered!!! The tension, the sarcasm, the playfulness! These two were a hoot! I appreciated being able to see the emotional depth both of these characters had, whereas in previous books, they didn’t seem too caring. The ending fell a little short for me. I definitely would’ve appreciated an epilogue!

Favorite quotes:
”I’ll have you know I’m a switch-hitter. I was going to give Lefty some showtime tonight. - Shep

”They make medicine for that, you know.”
“For what?”
“Your constipation. Being so fucking full of shit all the time has to start hurting after a while.”
-Denver

”Oh, and by the way, I’m fairly certain she’s over there telling people your dick is only a few inches long again.”
“Goddammit.”
