1 1/2 stars because...I don't know...the writing is okay? Just the content is awful.

I could not believe this book. Literally. The world-building was horrible. Nothing made sense.

- People are separated by character traits – because everyone is one-dimensional...always...

- Individuals that have more than one trait are special and DANGEROUS! ERRMAHGERD!

- The test to determine the trait is absolutely ridiculous

But the worst for me was the dauntless-camp. So dauntless value bravery. Everyone: picture your definition of bravery!

This is dauntless:

- jumping from a moving train

- jumping from high buildings

- climbing a ferris wheel

- getting beat up

- beat up others

- getting tattoos and piercings


This isn´t dauntless:

- thinking for yourself

- fighting for others/ taking care of others even if there are bad consequences for you

- stating your opinion even if you know your opinion is unpopular

- rebel against authority

So dauntless are just some brainless bullies who do stupid dangerous things to prove that they are so damn fearless! YOLO!!!

I also did not like the characters. How can characters that live in such an unlikely world have any substance?

The "romance" was also not my cup of tea.

I won´t read book 2 and 3.
