up until this point, Tae-Jun was a pushy harrassing poor excuse of a man, a murderous obsessed conceited bully but we now see the cowardly pathetic side of him. 

is he overcorrecting the other way, maybe. 

but can someone do too much to be forgiven when what he is doing is helping so many less fortunate citizens of kouka. Tae-Jun is making up for being a horrible human being and I'm not mad. Not all characters need redemption arcs but this is interesting to see.
