jennifer_c_s 's review for:
Rhett Butler's People
by Donald McCaig
As a work of historical fiction, I would have gladly given this novel 3 stars. It doesn't particularly matter to me that my view of some of the GWTW characters is quite different from Mr McCaig's: once characters start to live in our minds they inevitably develop differently.
What does matter to me, and why the book only ended up with two stars, is that too many loose ends were tied off. In short, the package was too neatly presented.
