where was the mystery in the mystery novel. i wish we got the revelation about annie's plan later on at the end of the story. once we found out what was actually happening, it was hard to keep interest. also, everything was tied up WAY too neatly into nice little bows, the conflict and intrigue disappeared from the story as soon as we found out about the basement. also, how the sleeping pills not affect annie WHATSOEVER. there was no mention of any of the effects she experienced from those pills.
