Okay, so... It's not that I think this book is poorly written—I think the writing is lush and lyrical, and the author has created a cosy yet eerie gothic setting. But I don't think I'm in the right mood to read this at the moment as I'm having trouble focusing on the words and find myself reading the same pages repeatedly. I feel I'll come back to this in the future though because it is beautifully written and I'm curious about where the story will go!
