I love it when books keep making me think. This book was told in a nonlinear narrative, which I thought was a very good decision made by the author. I was thrown to present time and to the past alternately. Often, the author would drop clues that would either mislead me from solving the mystery or left cliffhangers at the end of a chapter to make me hungry for more.
I was super engaged to the story. This was definitely a good choice of a palate cleanser as someone who don't normally read thrillers.
