The Fine Print by Lauren Asher

3.0

I wanted to love this one so much more than what I ultimately did. It just never fully clicked for me— but there were definitely some great moments I took away with me once the story ended.

Zahra is a gorgeous, funny, heartfelt lead. I easily related to her and I cheered her on.
I never really crossed that distance with Rowan. I can't say I ever warmed up to him fully.

Sometimes the inner dialogue for both leads induced more cringe than awe, furthering the distance.

I think I would have enjoyed this book more had it not run as long, whenever I find myself taking break after break after break from a reading, it’s due to it just not calling to me.

That said, there were several terrific moments that did move me. I especially enjoy the last part of the book, I think it had a solid ending. As a whole, it was a mixed bag, and not one I’d personally will return to, but it is one I think many will enjoy.
