“The way I see it, you can’t rush something you want to last forever.”

What I really ended up loving about this book was first that Darcy’s reaction to her brother and best friend exploring a relationship. She realized it didn’t have anything to do with her and was just happy for the both of them. I believed more in the romance, however, I have the same problem with this book as the first one. I wanted Bellefleur to show me more about them actually falling in love. I heard about how Annie Kyriakos laughed around Brendon Lowell a lot, but we weren’t shown it.

My one big problem with this book was Annie whole ”he could change his mind”. It didn’t sit well with me for a couple of reasons.
  1. It’s being overdrawn. It’s really the thing she keeps going back to that didn’t have any real substance as to why she thought that. At least on in relation to Brendon (just former relationships).
  2. Her reason ”this is moving too fast” would have been more accurate and believable, but she only uses it towards the end of the book when she actually makes a decision so I’m technically not counting this one as used for her being scared.
  3. With these two it was more likely that Annie would change her mind in comparison to Brendon! Brendon has been sure throughout the book what he wants, and she has really no real substance as why she thinks he’s going to move on!

I loved how Brendon explained that while he had a crush on Annie has a preteen, I was falling in love with adult Annie, not a version he had in his head as a kid. Also, Margot - Brendon friendship is superior! And Darcy! We love friends to call us on our bullshit!
