felt like there was a word limit and the author had exceeded it and had no choice but to cut it words out and it just was meh so underwhelming. there were so many directions this book could’ve gone (romance?? comedy?? mystery?? family drama??) and instead it was a bunch of unfinished thoughts and unimpressive writing. I felt so disappointed because the premise caught my attention right away (lawyer gets put on house arrest for indecent exposure after caught having sex on the roof of her apartment complex in NYC??) also, in the midst of all the half baked thoughts there was such a normalization of alcoholism?? did we need to have wine mentioned at every other page. the more I think about it, the more I’m surprised I finished this book… oops but I did finish it in 2 days so if you’re looking for an underwhelming quick read, I may recommend this one.
