This book is billed at "literary mystery" meaning it is LOOOONG and has LOTS of very well detailed characters and oh hey something mysterious happens maybe. It was good but I had to find time to read more than 10 pages at once otherwise it didn't get off the ground. If you like character and setting driven stories than you should enjoy Orient.
