Battle Ground
by Jim Butcher
The complete opposite of the oh-so-calm Peace Talks, the first 90% was just a chaotic battle and about halfway through I was thinking to myself "ok can we get on with the story now please".... there were many "holy crap!" moments and certainly some unexpected turns, but overall I wasn't too impressed. I am still stunned by some of these events though, like I cant believe Butcher did that, and its these things that keep the rating at 4 stars. I feel like this series could have benefited from being multi POV. That would have added a lot of depth and outside perspective and more of that huge world feeling that I love, because this almost entirely takes place in Chicago and I find myself asking "why here, when the world is so big?" too often. I look forward to the next one...cant wait to see what chaos Harry gets himself into next.
