okay wow..... i wish i could put julian in my pocket and protect him from the world and i also wish i had an adam in my life bc he’s just great. honestly, in the first part, it was a little slow for me and i couldn’t help thinking how useless emerald was as a character??? idk maybe it’s just my dislike of romance showing, but the second part made up for everything i didn’t like. i liked the development of adam and julian’s friendship, it was beautiful. seeing how adam is loved by everyone because of how he just radiates joy and everything great but then we finally see him break was extremely refreshing and realistic. i appreciated a lot of things about this book, the biggest one being the message of kindness can go a long way.
