Normal People by Sally Rooney

3.0

I found the characters to be raw and real. Personally, I have issues with people not fixing their own flaws, so maybe a book with broken people who do not seem to work on finding solutions to their own insecurities and issues was not the pick for me. I found the writing to be good and the characters well thought out, but the plot bothered me a bit because I felt like it had momentum then stagnated. It can become infuriating at times, or just out-right sad. Also feeling a little butt-hurt by the ending.
I enjoyed this read and can recommend, but it may have been a bit overhyped.
