Update #2:
Her Radiant Curse really fleshed out Channari and made her shine (no pun intended) as a character. Her emotions and motives became so much more real to me in this book. All of the loose ends left from the original SCC duology were tied.
I think the plot was stretched a little beyond its limit for a 400-page novel, so I think Her Radiant Curse would have worked better as a companion novella. Overall, though, a haunting yet hopeful book. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Six Crimson Cranes.
