Crocodile on the Sandbank is a mystery and historical fiction novel that follows the story of Amelia Peabody, unmarried at 29, with passion for ancient Egypt decided to spend her Inheritance by travelling to Egypt. She then met Evelyn, granddaughter of a duke and was disinherited after running away with her lover but was also left by him after knowing that she doesn't have any money left to spend. Together they met the archeologists brothers who discovered mummy tomb in Egypt. They were stuck with the mystery behind the mummy who appear and disappear. Will they be able to find out the truth behind the mystery of the mummy?

It was fun, short, and easy to read book. Loved the audio, it was a satisfying mystery with the narrator doing an excellent job in bringing the story to life. Amelia Peabody is an interesting and intelligent character. 4/5
