The Caves of Steel by Isaac Asimov
3.0
I must say I am disappointed. Not because of the absolute quality of the book, but because I really expect much more from Asimov and this is one of his flagship series.
To be fair there were certain excellent ideas in this book mostly regarding the evolution of humans as a social species, but probably because of it being a part of the robot series, I expected more philosophical discussions around the ethics of AI, but Asimov seemed to have taken the easy route here to separate humans and robots so firmly that it doesn't bring any real questions to the mind of serious readers. Maybe I would be proven wrong in the future books though. I actually hope to be proven wrong!
