Oh, another 5 stars you say? That's right! January has been such a good month for me, I hope the rest of the year pans out this way. *fingers crossed*
Talia, my girl. I LOVED THIS BOOK. Can I get an Evan Miller for myself, please? Now, you may ask what can one find in this book? Well let's see:
No third-act breakup (THANK GOD)
Two small misunderstandings that are very QUICKLY solved.
Supportive, hot, and emotionally competent MMC
FMC who's NOT a damsel in distress and learns to stand up for herself, when she was ready to do so.
It was a fast-paced enjoyable romance (the spice scenes were imo not cringy at all). And, the little lines we got about the FMC using cocoa butter and needing a silk pillowcase?! OMG, it is such a small thing but it means so much if you're a black woman like me.
5/5 and recommended. Hannah's book is next!
