The Duke's Shotgun Wedding by Stacy Reid

3.0

After finishing this novella, actually, after reading a couple of pages of it, I was a little confused, shouldn't this book be the second one? I still haven't started on the second novella, about Anthony and Phillipa , but the impression I had was that this should be the second one instead of the first. Well, what's done is done, but if you're reading this start on the second novella.

What can I say about this story... Jocelyn is the type of heroine I would enjoy reading more about. She has a strong personality, and is not afraid to say what she thinks. Sebastian is the classic guarded hero, who doesn't trust women and doesn't believe in love. Isn't this kinda of a classic story?

To me personally, I think that their story had the potential to be longer. I would love to read about their time together, their conversations, the way they connected with each other...

Sebastian had such a complicated story with his mother and the resolution of it happened so fast, with no details whatsoever which was a little disappointing, not to mention how easily he explained his former mistress situation without an ounce of emotion, like WTF?

Again, I really feel like this novella would have been so much better if it was just a little bit longer, if we could get to know more details about the characters and their love story.
