One of the best YA novels I've read so far. Excellent MC, morally grey characters, very interesting plot full of betrayal and murder, all the necessary details to create an amazing fantasy story. Jude's complicated relationship with Madoc and her sisters is my favourite character-driven plot of the novel, in combination with the excellent enemies-to-lovers slowburn.

The questions that remain unanswered, and I hope are answered in the next two books, are
: what's the true story behind the girls' parents, especially their mum and how did she fall in love with Madoc? How does Vivian's identity work? She's half-human but seems to be living life in the same way as any full-Fae creature. What's her relationship with Madoc? Vivi is a really enjoyable character and I'd like to see more around her identity.
