This book offers an alternative perspective as to why Cruella became who she did. The narrative sheds sympathy on her story particularly in her relationship with her mother and this being a primary cause for her descent into revenge. I particularly enjoy reading the alternate perspectives to the villains narrative which allows both sides to be taken into account
