Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

5.0

Loved it.
I was a bit shocked by the revelation at the end (about her mother's fate).
Although it's a slow paced book, I really enjoyed it. Eleanor's sincerity and bluntness are so funny and endearing, they make for some really hilarious moments.
The way the character evolves is quite pleasing, although obviously painful for both the reader and the character. She's quite likeable, not just from a 'oh, poor girl' point of view, but the idea that she actually never sees herself as a victim and keeps doing her best is really appealing and makes me love her even more.
I can't get over her frankness, though. That's honestly the best part of the book.
