The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
5.0

Wonderful book about Nazi Germany. The story is told through the eyes of Death about a young German girl, living in Nazi Germany. I found Zusak was able to describe the setting with lots of detail to allow me to feel like I'm in the story. It was definitely an emotional read and at times I had to take a break and allow myself to absorb what I had just read. It was definitely an easy read, I initially set myself up with a couple of hours to read as I had been told that it was a slow start. I didn't find the start too slow but I had allowed myself to get immersed into the story by allocating that time. It didn't take me to long to read the story, just over a week. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone but would ensure that they know that it's an emotional story. Definitely worth the read.
