Fae Fractured by Rose Garcia

4.0

This book takes place right after the first one. Things did not quite go as planned in the end for everyone. Now that Malena is in control with Draven, Celyse is determined to rescue her friends, reunite with Julio, and stop Malena and especially Draven.

This book was a bit more fast-paced than the previous one. Events occurred rather quickly, especially the end. It was a bit anti-climactic, which may just be because it was leading up to the next book.

I really love Julio. He is such a kind and loyal person. We get to really meet his family, and can I just say his family is so awesome! They just take everything with stride like it's an every day thing and are determined to help Julio. His mom is so cool as Manny says, and I couldn't agree more!

Celyse was still a bit of a bland character for me, but I do love the relationships she has built with the other fae and humans in order to help their kingdoms and lands.

This has a bit of the found family trope to it. They do act like family. They have disagreements and will argue, but in the end have the same goal in mind and will work to achieve it despite their differences. I think as the story progressed they all realized each can be trusted and will help them in the next book. I also love how some of them have improved their relationships with each other, like Leto. He now is basically the best of friends with the humans, and I love how snarky he now is. And although it was rather anti-climactic at the end, I am curious to know how the story will continue.
