While not as suspenseful as most of my mystery/suspense choices, I found this book an entertaining, light read. The characters were likable with strongish female roles. The main character, Roy Ballard was just the right side of cheesy with a bad-a-bing sense of humor that was occasionally pretty funny. The injuries to Roy were so well described it was palpable. It will be interesting to see how the characters develop in future books.
